6-1: The Law of Sines

Oblique Triangles are any triangles that are not Right Triangles. They can be solved by two methods:
  • Law of Sines
  • Law of Cosines


Law of Sines:

There are two popular ways of writing the Law of Sines:

*If you are given one angle and its opposite side then you use the Law of Sines*


Area of An Oblique Triangle:

Use when given side angle side, as highlighted above.
